Ways to Reach Hilston Park

Hilston Park, situated between the River Wye and the Black Mountains, is well-connected by road, rail and air. Multiple travel options are available to suit all journeys.

By Car

Hilston Park sits beside the B4347 road in the Monnow Valley, approximately 8 miles northwest of Monmouth and just over a mile southwest of Skenfrith. The approach roads pass through open meadows, riverside woodland and quiet country lanes, so the drive itself is worth taking slowly.

Driving Directions

  • From the South (Newport/Cardiff): Take the A449 north to Raglan, then follow the B4233 toward Abergavenny. Pick up the B4347 north toward Skenfrith. Hilston Park is signposted on the left before reaching the village.
  • From the North (Hereford): Head south on the A465, then turn off toward Skenfrith via the B4521. Follow the B4347 southward. The park entrance is approximately one mile past Skenfrith.
  • From the East (Monmouth): Take the B4233 west from Monmouth town centre and join the B4347 heading northwest. Hilston Park is roughly 8 miles from Monmouth.
